Goals and Values

Sts Peter and Paul's School is a Catholic co-educational primary school offering classes from Preparatory to Year Six. The School is part of the Brisbane Catholic Education System and is administered from the Brisbane Catholic Education Office at Woolloongabba. As a Catholic school, and in the Spirit of the Good Samaritan, our primary responsibility is for the staff to work in partnership with parents to nurture the Catholic faith of our children. Our School is a faith community wherein each child loves God, themselves and others and reaches their full potential. This faith dimension pervades all we do and say in our teaching and learning.

Families are reminded that when applying for the Preparatory Year children must be born within the specific dates set down by the Queensland Government. Further information can be found here.

Policy

  • In most circumstances we will offer places to siblings of children already enrolled in the school. This offering will be at the discretion of the Principal (or their nominee).
  • We will then offer places to practising Catholics from Sts Peter and Paul's Parish.
  • Practising Catholics from adjoining Parishes may then be offered places if it is deemed appropriate. e.g. children of staff living and practising in an adjoining Parish.
  • Catholics from Sts Peter and Paul's Parish would then be made offers, and then
  • People of other faiths, if we have any spaces may be offered a place.
  • These criteria are strictly applied.
