Extra Curricula
Choir
Our school has a tradition of school choirs. We encourage all children to participate. Our auditioned or Chamber Choir is totally voluntary but their work is spectacular. Choir is under direction of our Music Specialist. Choirs perform at assemblies, sacramental program Sundays, special liturgies and Catholic Colleges Eisteddfod.
Science Club
We offer children an opportunity to explore the marvels of Science. This activity is run by the Centre of Excellence for Science and Technology Education and comes to us on each fortnight on Friday afternoons for two sessions - one Junior and one Senior class - each session runs for an hour. Invitations are issued through the School Newsletter and places are given to those who nominate and make pay on a first-in-first served basis. Each term new groups form so any who miss out in term one have a chance in term two. Parents make necessary pick-up arrangements for their children.
Chess Club
These groups meet after school on Wednesdays and Fridays and are tutored by a teacher from the Gardiner Chess Group. Again news of chess is advertised in the school newsletter and places fill very quickly.

Book Club
On Thursday afternoons from 3 pm to 4 pm once a month, a book club is held for interested readers in Years 6 and 7. It is run by the Teacher Librarian and Year 6 teachers and is held in the library. The students nominate book titles that they are interested in reading, then a vote is held. These books are read then discussed a month later. Often there is a shared afternoon tea and fun is had by all. We welcome all interested readers in Years 6 and 7.
